--- title: Inviting Users | Avara description: Learn how to invite users to your Clinical Platform and configure their permissions and access levels. --- ## Introduction Invite users to your organization from the Clinical Platform so staff can book appointments, manage operations, read imaging, document visits, and more. User invitations are managed from the platform, where you control permissions and roles for each team member. ## Inviting Users To invite a user: 1. Navigate to the **Users** tab in the sidebar 2. Go to **Invitations** to access the user invitation interface 3. Click **Invite User** to open the invitation form Configure the user’s permissions before sending the invitation. You can adjust permissions later for active users as roles change. ## User Permissions When inviting a user, you’ll configure the following permission settings: ### Can Manage Appointments Users with this permission can handle day-to-day scheduling and patient-facing appointment workflows, including: - Booking, rescheduling, and cancelling appointments - Collecting and managing payments - Managing intake forms for appointments - Sharing results and confirming appointment-related tasks - Sharing studies with patients or other providers as part of appointment workflows This permission is ideal for front desk staff, schedulers, and coordinators who run the appointment calendar but do not need full operational or IT configuration access. ### Can Manage Worklist Users with this permission can assign and reassign tasks in the **worklist**, keeping referral, imaging, and clinical tasks routed to the right people on your team. ### Can Manage Operations Users with this permission can configure practice clinical and operational settings, including: - [Appointment types](/clinical-platform/appointment-types/index.md) - [Patient forms](/clinical-platform/patient-forms/index.md) and form building - [Special unavailability](/clinical-platform/special-unavailability/index.md) (site closures and provider unavailability) - [Office tablets](/clinical-platform/office-tablets/index.md) - [Rooms](/clinical-platform/rooms-pacs/index.md) This permission is intended for practice administrators and operations leads who maintain how your clinic runs day to day. ### Can Manage PACS Users with this permission can manage IT-focused imaging infrastructure, including: - [Rooms & PACS](/clinical-platform/rooms-pacs/index.md) configuration, including PACS node management - [On-prem servers](/clinical-platform/on-prem-servers/index.md) - [Workstations](/clinical-platform/workstations/index.md) Assign this permission to imaging IT staff or administrators responsible for PACS connectivity and reading-room setup. ### Can Message Patients Users with this permission can exchange secure messages with patients through the platform.
